Doctoral Student, Boston University School of Earth and Environment

Xiaofei Qin

Xiaofei is a doctoral student at the Boston University School of Earth and Environment. Xiaofei’s research focuses on developing an equitable framework for climate change adaptation, particularly in urban heat governance. She is actively exploring how city governments and non-profit organizations are developing responses to extreme heat that account for vulnerability and justice within their communities. Her research on heat planning, early warning systems, and other heat strategies will enhance cities’ resilience to extreme weather events and reduce public heat-related health risks.
