Doctoral Student, Department of Environmental Health, BUSPH

Jonathan Lee

Jonathan Y. Lee (He/Him) is a PhD student in Enviornmental Health and trainee in the BU URBAN program. Prior to coming to BU, he completed his dual Masters in Public Health and Urban Planning at Harvard University.

Jonathan is broadly interested in investigating the design of the built environment through a public health lens, particularly in relation to climate change and health equity. Specific research interests include how transportation systems, land use decisions, and urban design impacts health and how to use public health as a catalyst for change. He hopes to contribute to the field by bridging the gap between the design disciplines and public health science! He fell in love with biking since moving to Boston and enjoys soaking in the beautiful built and natural environment of the city and the region.
