Grace Betts

Grace Betts is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Eco-Cities from Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning. Most recently she worked at the National Academy of Sciences on projects that apply a social science lens to environmental challenges, such as community-driven relocation on the Gulf Coast. She is interested in studying the climate and health co-benefits and equity implications of climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, especially those related to urban planning and policy. Grace loves to play tennis and travel, searching for the best bakeries and hiking trails wherever she goes.
