Team member Jinho Lee presented about estimating the impact of cool roofs on reducing heat exposure and cooling energy consumption using building simulation models. This was a joint presentation at the Southern New England American Planners Association alongside Julia Nassar from Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) describing tools and resources for municipalities, Kendra White of the City of Cambridge providing a case study of the Cambridge Cool Roof Technical Assistance Program, Ben Cares of the City of Chelsea sharing a case study on the Chelsea Cool Roof Initiatives, and Sasha Shyduroff of MAPC moderating.
